PAUSED FOR WINTER. NYC Sprint Collective. A place for Sprinters. While most run club members are focused on the marathon, there are pockets of very fast sprint athletes in each. Many sprinters don’t bother joining a run club because the workouts don’t support their goals. They train solo for sprint events that are usually tacked onto mile and 5k races as an afterthought. We want to change that. To improve, you have to surround yourself with people faster & more knowledgeable than you. We’ll establish weekly track sessions to bring sprinters across clubs together. I picked up running later in life and didn’t grow up with track. I know there is so much to learn in this very technical sport. So, we have professional sprinters lined up to run workshops and training sessions. We also hope to race events together and hold regular community time trials so we can track our progress. This collective is the best way for us to teach and push each other. Community and training partners make you a better athlete.
